New Year Intentions
A resolution is, more or less, a goal to change something about yourself or your lifestyle. Resolutions tend to be things that are set in stone and don’t leave much room for error.
An intention does not imply something is “wrong” with the way you currently live. Instead, it focuses and motivates you to live even better. Intentions allow us to make mistakes and embrace all ups and downs with curiosity and compassion.
Intentions:
Are flexible & adaptable, allowing for change.
Focus on growth & progress rather than perfection.
Are centered around your values & mindset.
Align your personal wants with general well-being.
Encourage self-compassion & understanding when things do not go as planned.
How to Set Intentions:
Find your “why”. What is important to you?
Focus on creating small, achievable goals and break them down into manageable chunks.
Write them down & track your progress.
Celebrate your success along the way & as you achieve any goals.
Make changes or shifts, if needed. Remember to be gentle and compassionate with yourself.
